After years of development and rigorous testing, Boeing's CST-100 Starliner spacecraft has successfully completed its first uncrewed flight test, paving the way for future human spaceflight missions to the International Space Station (ISS).

The Starliner spacecraft launched atop a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Following a flawless ascent, the spacecraft entered orbit and completed a series of maneuvers.

The uncrewed "Orbital Flight Test-2" (OFT-2) mission was designed to demonstrate the Starliner's performance in key areas, including launch, docking with the ISS, and safe return to Earth. The spacecraft met all mission objectives, including a successful docking with the ISS and a controlled descent and landing in New Mexico.

Boeing and NASA officials hailed the mission as a major success and a testament to the capabilities of the Starliner spacecraft. The data collected during OFT-2 will be used to further refine the vehicle and prepare for its first crewed mission to the ISS.
