Boeing's First-Ever Starliner Astronaut Mission to Launch May 2024
Preparations Begin for Critical Test Flight
NASA and Boeing are targeting May 6, 2024, for the launch of Boeing's first-ever Starliner astronaut mission, a critical test flight to demonstrate the spacecraft's capabilities. The launch campaign will commence 45 days prior to liftoff with United Launch Alliance (ULA) beginning to stack an Atlas V rocket at Space Launch Complex 41.

The launch is scheduled for 12:25 p.m. EST and will mark the debut of Starliner's crew access tower, the first new such structure built along Florida's Space Coast since the Apollo era. The tower's crew access arm and distinctive white exterior will facilitate astronaut entry and exit.
Boeing and ULA will continue to provide updates on the mission's progress, including any potential changes to the launch date. This historic mission represents a significant milestone in Boeing's partnership with NASA and a testament to the company's commitment to human spaceflight.
